May 21, 2025
A few notes from the intersection of AI, marketing, branding, and small business.

As these tools gain industry knowledge, they offer enterprise-level capabilities-such as advanced customer segmentation or localized ad creation at prices some small business-can afford. You’ll find lots of food for though in this article by Pan Beskos about AI marketing and small business. Or consider these trends, compiled by the M1-Project.
The continued emergence of AI agents used for marketing. The rise of “agentic AI” and AI avatars is transforming customer service and influencer marketing. An AI customer service agent can now handle so many inquiries at any time of day, provide personalized recommendations, and even act as a digital brand ambassador on social media. This trend is expected to accelerate, offering small businesses new ways to engage customers and extend their presence without requiring a crushing amount of time and resources. Prediction: These are a couple of the many developments that show how AI seems leveling the playing field for small businesses, allowing them to compete with larger brands through smarter, more efficient, and highly personalized marketing and branding strategies. We’ll keep watching, but our current prediction is that agents will be ubiquitous by the end of 2025.
